Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) combine the technologies of CAD and the Relational Database systems (RDBMS) with the purpose of relating data with digital maps and drawings. With this system it is possible to create, store, deliver, edit and analyse geographical information and allows a clear and direct deployment.

GIS belong to the new technologies of information systems, with the particularity that they allow the integration of the spatial variable, becoming a fundamental tool in all studies and projects aimed at supporting any decision-making.
